Day 1: Arrive Halifax
Welcome to Nova Scotia! A transfer from the Halifax Airport to the Delta Barrington is included upon arrival. Your journey begins with a welcome reception and dinner at Pier 21, chronicling the story of immigration to Canada in the 20th century through exhibits and a poignant multi-media production, Oceans of Hope.
Overnight: Delta Barrington, Halifax, Nova Scotia

Day 2: Lunenburg / Peggy's Cove
Pass through seaside hamlets and harbor towns en route to Lunenburg, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its well-preserved, colorful 19th-century timber-built houses. A choice of sightseeing today includes a walking tour of Lunenburg or a visit to the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, showcasing the Maritimes’ rich seafaring heritage. Visit Mahone Bay and Peggy’s Cove before enjoying an evening at leisure in Halifax.

Day 3: Historic Halifax and a private evening at the Citadel

Day 4: Prince Edward Island
Take a ferry from Nova Scotia to beautiful Prince Edward Island. Arrive in Old Charlottetown, nestled between two rivers in a quiet protected harbor, for a two-night stay; your waterfront hotel is located steps from the boardwalk and Peake’s Wharf.
Overnight: Delta Prince Edward, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Day 5: Greenwich Peninsula & Anne of Green Gables
Spend the morning hours on your own in Charlottetown, then depart for a visit to Prince Edward Island National Park. Discover salt marshes rich in wildlife, freshwater ponds, dramatic bluffs, and endless coastline; see the fragility of the sweeping dunes on Greenwich Peninsula. View quaint fishing villages as you travel along the island’s magnificent beaches, and tour Green Gables House, the farmhouse immortalized in Lucy Maud Montgomery’s beloved book. End the day with a traditional lobster dinner and a performance at the Confederation Centre of the Arts.

Day 6: Digby / Annapolis Royal
Cross the Confederation Bridge today to New Brunswick and on to Nova Scotia. Visit Port-Royal National Historic Site and the Habitation, one of the earliest settlements in North America, where a reconstruction of early 17th-century buildings comes to life through costumed interpreters and period demonstrations. Continue on to Digby and your hotel overlooking the Annapolis Basin and the Bay of Fundy.
Overnight: Digby Pines, Digby, Nova Scotia

Day 7: Whale Watching / Time at Leisure
An interpretive wildlife presentation with a local expert precedes a memorable journey to Digby Neck for an exciting whale watching excursion, weather permitting. Alive with plankton, this is a great place to spot finback, minke and humpback whales, along with plenty of seals! Spend a free afternoon as you wish, before joining us for a farewell dinner that includes a special educational presentation on the history and harvesting of the world-renowned – and melt-in-your-mouth delicious – Digby Scallop.

Day 8: Journey Home
Stop at Grand-Pré National Historic Site en route to Halifax for your return home. Tour ends: 11:45 AM at Halifax International Airport. Allow a minimum of three hours for flight check-in. Ask at booking about extending your stay in Halifax.
