Day 1: Arrive Traverse City
Tour begins: Grand Traverse Resort & Spa at 6:30 PM. A transfer is included from the Cherry Capital Airport to the Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, set amidst 900 acres near Traverse City. Day 2: Great Lake Dunes, Wine & Music
Visit the Music House Museum, showcasing antique musical instruments and music-making machines, then journey along Michigan's west coast. Drive through Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore for great views of the protected 35-mile-long shoreline - ranging in color from pale champagne to burnt sienna, the dunes roll and spike up to 400 ft. A private wine tasting this afternoon at Black Star Farms celebrates the season's fruits of the vine; tonight, savor the bounty of the land during a private winery dinner for Tauck guests only. Day 3: Straits of Mackinac / Mackinac Island
A scenic drive along the lake leads to the Straits of Mackinac and a visit to quaint Petoskey, then on to Fort Michilimackinac. Built by the French in 1715, the fort is a reconstruction of life in the 18th century. Take an afternoon ferry to Mackinac Island, accessible only by boat or plane, then climb aboard a horse-drawn carriage as you are transported back to the Victorian era of the late 1800s and the island's Grand Hotel, one of the most celebrated hotels in America. Day 4: Mackinac Island, Somewhere in Time
Mackinac Island measures just two miles by three miles, and is almost as unspoiled as it was when the first Europeans arrived three centuries ago. Visitors and residents travel by foot, bicycle or horse-drawn carriage; no motorized vehicles are allowed. Join us for a private tour of the island by horse-drawn carriage, a tradition dating back to the mid-19th century. Visit Fort Mackinac, standing watch over the Straits of Mackinac for more than 220 years. The remainder of the day is at leisure to enjoy as you wish. Meals BD

Day 5: Midland / Bay City
Journey to Midland for a tour of architect Alden B. Dow‚'s home. Spend the night on the east bank of the Saginaw River in the heart of historic downtown Bay City. Meals BLD
Overnight: Doubletree Hotel Bay City – Riverfront, Bay City, Michigan

Day 6: Saginaw Bay / Frankenmuth
Take a private sail aboard a masted ”Tall Ship” schooner on a narrated cruise up the Saginaw River to Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. Continue on to Bavarian-inspired Frankenmuth for lunch and time at leisure; your final destination is Dearborn, epicenter of the automobile. Meals BLD

Day 7: Dearborn / Explore The Henry Ford
